Northland Fences, operated by Hood Contracting Ltd, is a Whangārei based fencing and gate automation business serving the Whangārei and Kaipara districts. Owner Tim Hood brings 30 years in business, with the last decade dedicated to fencing and gate automation, and personally oversees every job.
We’ve installed well over 200 automated gates, using quality DEA and Centurion automation systems backed by a two-year warranty. Options include swing and sliding gates, solar powered gate automation, custom made gates and retrofitting automation to existing gates.
Our fencing work covers residential and lifestyle block properties, commercial and industrial sites, and pool fencing built to meet current Building Code requirements. We work with timber, colorsteel, aluminium and Stabiwood. Local projects include fencing at the Port Road roundabout, the Loop Road shared pathway and new homes at Totara Parklands.
We also offer small digger and operator hire and general contracting, including earthworks, for jobs large and small.
